I dined at Sushi Zanmai and their service was really, really good. My food arrived a bit late, so I informed the staff. They explained that there was an issue with the printer, and we were understanding about it. Before we left, they gave us a complimentary dessert as an apology for the delayed food. Truly excellent service.

We dined at Sushi Zanmai, Setia City Mall. Immediately upon entering the restaurant, my girlfriend slipped and fell due to a small patch of water on the floor. This was not caused by customer negligence, but by a condition that should have been addressed before seating guests. Two staff members did come over to check on her, which we appreciate. However, beyond that initial reaction, the situation was treated too lightly. My girlfriend later developed clear bruising on her knee, and the pain was not minor. What was most disappointing was that no further action was taken: • No follow-up from a supervisor or manager • No offer of compensation or goodwill gesture • No acknowledgement at the cashier when we were paying To be clear, the food was good. This review is not written out of anger, but out of restraint. A customer slipping and getting injured is not just “an accident” — it reflects operational responsibility. Floor safety must be ensured before customers are brought in, and when an injury occurs, there should be a clear protocol on how customers are cared for afterward, including proper compensation or at least formal acknowledgment. We chose not to escalate the matter further at the time. This review is written so that management understands this was a lesson given, not a scene created.

Wonderful food and everything, might be the best sushi place around here and everything is served fresh even the sashimi. The price is affordable for the ingredients and I think the taste is suited for the locals so it's not directly Japan-ish, really like their green tea too it's not overly bitter.
